Parents visit Urban Disco

Visiting

We had a great long weekend visiting with my parents. It is so nice to have them around, spending time chatting and just being in their company.  We had a good mix of relaxing and running around. I really miss them already.

We went to see John Mellencamp at Radio City Music Hall - he played a mix of old and new and the sound in RCMH is amazing. Me and Mom camped out back after the show and even got an autograph. PLUS we saw Meg Ryan! Celebrity spotting never gets old.

I fight Authority, Authority always wins

We made our way over to Brooklyn for brunch and brews - Dasha likes the Winter Ale for sure. Mom and Yahtzee went for the dark beers too.

Too cool for school

Back at the disco, Mom taught me how to make Chicken Noodle soup in exchange for setting up a few things on Mom's new computer. The guys went to MSG for the Pitt game - but Mom was the real winner with her new specs - can you guess which ones she went with???

And of course, living in the East Village, noodles are in order. Friends introduced us to Minca on e5th and we are hooked since

We are already looking forward to your next visit Mom and Dad.

  1. Looks like you guys had a good time!! Miss ya all.
I don't know about the local beers in the US, but having access to a great variety of Belgian beers, I have to say dark beers are the best (esp. The Forbidden Fruit - what a name!!!).
